A couple weeks back, I sat down with a gorgeous girl from international jewelry line, MAFIA Jewellery. I got the chance to look through a bunch of their Fall/Winter samples and loved each piece's level of detail, how each was totally unique, and how they all still worked together. From logo engraved snowflake earrings and rosebud rings to wrap-around floral bracelets and dinosaur heads galore - this Ottawa-based international shop is a trend lover's paradise.

Since sipping back a soy chai latte and checking out MAFIA's collection, I haven't stopped wearing these four pieces. I love the brassy gold of the weighty yet feminine bracelet, and the girly grunge feel of the snowflake dangle earrings. The dinosaur head ring is totally fun (I like to hide a piece of gum in the dino's head for a quick breath refresh on the go) and the angel wing ring, well, let's just say I think Jax Teller would love it as much as I do. What draws me to these pieces the most, over others in my jewelry collection, is the fact I'm supporting a local, independent business and helping to boost my city's creative scene.

Yes, they're local, but they're also online - so you can revel in the glory of their quirky/cool/dark/scary/awesome pieces no matter where you happen to be. Oh, and the makers of MAFIA love Little Nicky (hilarious Adam Sandler movie released in 2000)... that, by itself, sold me.
