Aldo, I don't know what you're thinking. Heck, I don't even know if you know what you're thinking. The "New Arrivals" for fall are simply atrocious and are even more atrociously priced.
Previously, I'd have defended Aldo as an internationally-accessible, affordable footwear option for those looking to rock some solid trends without shelling out a ton of money for the designer version. This fall, however, has really disappointed me. I had to hunt for three items I thought were chic, well priced, and versatile enough to justify the spend. It was far easier to find poorly priced, style-impaired options. Take #5 for example. Who the heck would pay $140 for something they could get for $20 at Sirens, Ardenes, or Wal Mart. I won't even touch #4 because I'm still just so confused about it. I will admit, however, that #7 could be pulled off but only by the likes of The Man Repeller.
I don't usually post negative things since I think everyone has a right to his or her own style, and should be in complete control of what he or she buys and how it's styled. This is more of an open letter to Aldo. Please, Aldo, don't prove P'Trique (God of all things fashionably satirical) right. Bring back those days of cohesive collections, on point pricing, and versatile styles worth the investment.

Glad you put number 2 in the chic section as I have them! X
