Top: American Apparel / Skirt: Banjo & Matilda* / Necklace: Aldo Accessories
It's Thursday. My favourite day of the week. I like it so much because by Thursday night, you know you only have one more day until the weekend. Plus, during TV season, I get to watch The Vampire Diaries. It's been drop dead gorgeous weather as of late and I'm sincerely hoping it sticks around for the weekend. I want to go to the dog park and get in a bunch of walks to keep energized and enjoy the fresh air. I find the more I surround myself with trees and pollen on a regular basis, the less intense my allergies have gotten. Whether it's all psychological or not - something is working.
If you've been following me on twitter, you know I've started to work out. I hate working out. I hate the feeling of sweat, feeling hot, getting gross.... basically everything about it. This is mainly because I try my best to wash my hair only once every 5 or so days and obviously that's not possible when it's all greasy and gross post work out. I'm just starting with a bit of the stationary bicycle and elliptical and then I do some crunches and lift a teensy bit of weights. I'm happy with my size but I know I could be a little more toned and definitely a ton stronger. Plus, I want to live a really long time and that requires a healthy heart and healthy lungs.
This skirt was sent to me a few months ago by Lizzie over at Banjo & Matilda and I've posted about it once before now. I've been waiting for breezier weather because there's just something about walking about in sandals and a flowy maxi skirt that screams summer to me. I've paired it with one of my recent American Apparel purchases, a black and white tribal print cropped t-shirt. I threw this on after work since I'm not about to bare my stomach at the office but couldn't wait until the weekend to enjoy 100% silk. Mmm....
I'm going to Kaskade's Freaks of Nature tour show on June 17th and would love some help in deciding that the heck to wear. It's in an event space that's likely going to grow very warm even though there is a/c so please leave me a comment with any links or suggestions you have. Your help would really be appreciated since I haven't gone to a concert in.... well, since I saw Britney Spears a few years back. A little different than the one coming up! Thanks in advance. :)
